THE DESIGNER
Based in Portsmouth, Virginia, Zawan is a self-taught couture milliner with a passion for creating elegant, custom hats.
His journey began with a heartfelt mission: ensuring his mother and grandmother always had beautiful hats to wear.
He mastered the craft by learning hat repair and studying construction techniques, developing a signature style known for quality and attention to detail.
Founder of the Hat Off the Press collection, he has designed hats for clients around the world.
His distinguished clientele includes gospel artist Karen Clark Sheard, and numerous ministry First Ladies.
Zawan believes millinery is more than fashion—it is a way to celebrate individuality, inspire confidence, and bring joy through creativity.
